Tending to natural hair is indeed a daunting task. Many hair products are being marketed as natural and/or organic but have ingredients that raise health concerns. Creating these products yourself can aid in reviewing the ingredients contained in it. There are Natural hair care products you can make at home with ingredients from your own kitchen and garden. One of which include Homemade Natural Hairspray. Below is the simple procedure to follow:

Materials Needed:

1 Lemon.

2 cups of water.

A pot.

A strainer.

One empty spray bottle.

A hot plate/ stove.

Alcohol or essential oils (if necessary).

Procedure:

Cut the lemon into small slices.

Put in a small pot and add two cups of water.

Heat up until water is reduced into half.

Strain the juice using a sieve cloth into a measuring cup.

Allow the juice to cool.

Combine the alcohol and your favourite essential oil, swirl to mix (as this allows for an extended shelf life of about 2 weeks).

Use a funnel to place in a spray bottle.

You are free to use the hairspray.

Note: use oranges for dry hair.
