Let me do a quick rundown of what we discussed in the previous post. I stated that the first action to take towards achieving your dreams is to first, start with a why? which means what is the motivation behind those dreams and visions of yours. Second, I advised that you should write down your dreams and visions for the sake of memory and direction. The third is to count the cost. Understand how much time and resources (skills, money, mental power, etc) you will need to bring your dreams to pass. The fourth is to draw a plan. A plan is simply the blueprint of your dreams. It is drafting the process from start to finish. With this in mind, we shall continue how to achieve our dreams and visions relentlessly.
  • Look For Motivators

The greatest people we have celebrated in history stood on the shoulders of giants. Therefore, you need mentors on whose soldiers you can stand. A famous saying goes thus: “go alone, you’ll go fast, but go with a friend, you will go far”. This simply tells us that, to keep our dreams alive, we need company, motivators, and helpers. Thus, it is important to have mentors, co-founders, and accountability partners who will trust and who will share our dreams with. Therefore, make sure those whom you share your dreams with have your interests at heart. You’ll need them all through.
  • Dream Big, Start Small

No matter what, do not be idle. You’ve got big dreams, that is good. But start small. Great things start small. Great companies we celebrate today such as Apple Inc., Facebook, and Microsoft started in their garage. The most important thing is to have your vision and progress little by little with it. Dream global, but start local.

  • Take A Break When Necessary

Taking a break is a way to rest your engines, refuel and have the power to continue. Finding time to refuel is essential in bringing your dreams to reality. Our brains and muscles need to be in good shape otherwise it will be detrimental to our health. It is only those who are alive that can see their dreams become. Therefore, invest in at least 6 hours of sleep daily, workout regularly, eat healthy food, play games or chat with friends and family members. Ensure you are having a work-life balance.  Moreover, taking a break gives you time to reflect anytime you are confused and allows you to sit back and study your actions and operations so that you can identify problems and deal with them accordingly. Achieving your dreams is two steps forward, one step backward.
  • Operate Within Your Strength

Dream achievers operate within the areas of their strengths. One of the factors that prevent millions from achieving their dreams and visions is because they are operating outside their area of strength. If you are pursuing a vision you don’t love or don’t have both the mental and physical power to bring to reality, you’ll arrive nowhere, at worst, you’ll arrive sorrowful and unfulfilled and you would have wasted a lot of time. Therefore, pursue a dream that motivates you. If a fish spends all its life striving to become good at flying, it will end up a failure and also frustrated. Look towards your strengths, carve your niche there and build your empire. Featured Image Source: Pinterest
