Many people died without achieving their dreams and visions. It was Myles Munroe who stated that the graveyard is the wealthiest place on earth. It is the place where the most beautiful songs were never sung, the place where the bestselling books were never written, the place where the greatest businesses were never executed, the place where the biggest stories were never told, the place where the first-class degrees were never pursued, the place where the greatest invention did not see the light of the day and so many tremendous things that were never achieved. The grave is wealthy with dead dreams. As sorrowful as it sounds, Myles Munroe was right. Myles Munroe who has been described as the Father of the Purpose-Driven Life went on to write over 100 books on leadership, ministry, marriage, business, personal development and every facet of human life you can think of. He had the biggest church in the Bahamas.

The two major reasons why dreams don’t become realities are fear and doubt. Other factors could be a wrong company, wrong choices, lack of mentorship, laziness, and so on. However, most people who ended up regretting their old age identified fear and doubt as reasons why they didn’t live the best of their lives. In this article, I want to teach you how you can execute your dreams and visions without looking back.
  • Start With A Why?

Starting with why will answer the underlying motivation behind the visions and dreams you want to achieve. Answer questions such as: What is motivating you to pursue a degree in medicine? Why are you inspired to start a catering business? Why do you want to go into politics? Why do I want to do this or do that? Is it to make a difference? To make money? To create impact? Whatever is your motivation, as long as it does not bring destruction to the world and it does not dishonour God, they are legitimate. Your motivating factor could be to make more money, improve your status, create an impact, solve a problem and so on. However, the best motivating factor that can keep your going is that which solves problems and causes an impact on the world. Having a motivating factor that will keep you fired up is the best way to transform your dreams into reality. Have a strong reason!
  • Write It Down

Visionaries and dreamers write down what they want to bring into reality. Writing down your visions is the first step in transforming your visions and dreams into reality. When you write them down, you can always look at them and get motivated, and receive direction on what you want to achieve. Writing visions and dreams down is to give a skeletal framework to abstract things.

Also, because the brain can forget due to many activities and distractions, writing down your visions and dreams will always give you something to always fall back on, to keep reminding you. A wise man once said: a short pencil is better than a big memory. So visionaries and dreamers always keep their pencils and notepads close.
  • Research The Cost

Jesus Christ the greatest teacher and philosopher of all time told the world this timeless revelation: “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?” Jesus was right! Every dream comes with a cost. Whether you want to pursue a degree or build a company or write a book, it is going to cost you money and time. Therefore, make enquiry from books, materials and people about how much it will cost you to achieve your dreams.
  • Draw A Plan

A life without a plan will end up in confusion. Having a plan means writing down what you need to make your dream a reality and how you plan to achieve it. It is drafting the strategies you are going to employ to make your dreams a reality. For instance, if you want to start up a business, your plan will look like a timetable format that gives you direction on what to do daily, who to meet and things to do that can help you bring your dreams and vision to reality. For instance, I could say that every day, from 9 am to 10 pm, I’ll reach out to at least 5 potential customers to inform them about my business for 2 weeks. This will help you schedule and organize your life. Featured Image Source: Killer Innovations With Phil McKinney
