  Our imagination is our superpower. To imagine is free. Albert Einstein says that ‘Imagination is greater than knowledge‘. This goes a long way to tell us how powerful our imagination can be because it can bring up images that can transform our lives and the world at large.

Inventing new machines and tools, writing new books, and innovating new things require a great measure of using your imaginative power. This imagination takes place in our brains or mental box. It can be stressful when we engage imaginations often. Little wonder many face mental fatigue, writer’s block or total mental shutdown. However, there are five main ways to keep our imagination on fire. We shall explore that in this article.
  1. Let Your Mind Wander

Most often I get my imaginative power when I sit on a comfy and let my mind wander into distant worlds. Sometimes, I go on a long walk in the evenings with my eyes tucked with an earpiece that is playing a soft music. I do this by walking on the pedestrian or on a very less busy road. Also, when doing my chores of mopping the ground, my mind wanders easily.
  1. Use The Power Of Focus

Focusing on an issue, let’s say car business, often helps me to come up with business ideas or something similar. You can focus on inventions, apps, or a problem, or a book you read and come up with the latest ideas. It’s always worked for me. You can choose to focus on a topical issue like the internet and come up with something that can be solved by the internet with your imagination.

  1. Spend Time In Nature

Nature has a way of enlivening our imaginations. The colourful flowers, the strange-shaped looking mountains, the melodious chirping of birds, the calm waves of the sea, the gushing waterfall, the tall trees can really boost our imaginations. Spending time around the beach, looking at the clouds can be therapeutic and a wonderful experience. Spending time outdoor – like your garden for instance – can be relieving.
  1. Go On An Artist Date

Visiting an art gallery or a museum can be another way to tap into your imaginative power. Studying and analysing artworks, paintings, sculptors, etc can help your imagination as you begin to look at them intently and study their details and patterns. Snapping anything that catches your fancy shows that your imagination is alive and ready to explore. Exploring artwork can kick start your imaginative power.
  1. Listen To Orchestras And Soul Music

Listening to classical music can boost your mental power where imaginations take place, according to studies. Listening to Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, and other soul and classical musicians can take you to endless spaces.
