SpeedUP Africa is coming to Lagos. And if you’re a startup founder with a product that has great future prospects and needs some exposure and support to get it off the ground, it’s your chance to get it.

SpeedUP Africa is powered by DraperDarkFlow (DDF), a Silicon Valley Venture Capital firm. This year’s event is the second of its kind and will feature Africa’s top 100 startups. They’ll be in Lagos to pitch their product one-on-one to major players in the global tech ecosystem. If you’re an early-stage founder, you can be one of them.

The program will last for four days (July 5th-9th) and will include practical growth hacking workshops, one-to-one mentorship from Silicon Valley mentors, and a “deal day” (as opposed to a demo day), in which startup founders get to pitch to Silicon Valley investors (last year’s event offered startups the chance to have a share of $1 million in funding).

Applications will be open for SpeedUP Africa until May 1st. Startups with a live, demonstrable product are encouraged to apply. Selected startups will be contacted on May 5th.

At the first edition of the event held last year in Ghana, several African startups, including Nigeria’s DropBuddies, NURLUX and VeriCampus were among several African startups that raised funding rounds from investors.

DDF’s partners for SpeedUP Africa include Google, 500 Startups, Draper University, Africa Business Angel Network, among others.
