Airtel, NIBSS Provide Easy Way to Recall Your BVN

Airtel Nigeria in strategic partnership with the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System has now provided an easy means of accessing your BVN through your phone. The BVN initiative which was launched by the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2014 is aimed at protecting bank customers and strengthening the Nigerian banking system by enrolling each bank customer under a unique number that enables each one to have a single identity in the banking system. Access to this service involves the dialing of the USSD code *556*0# on your mobile phone. With it, customers can access their BVN number through their mobile phones at any time, but it can only be accessed by bank customers who have registered for their BVN at a bank. The service is billed at N10 per query. Note: Deadline for the BVN enrollment exercise is October 31st, 2015
