Life and nearly all that happens to us is a result of the energies we emit. Previous studies on human and mind composition state that our minds, bodies, and spirits are composed of energy, which vibrates out and is felt by others. Those vibrations reverberate within us and affect our energy stores. Little wonder we may feel comfortable, warm, and energetic in the presence of some people, but distant, nervous, and gloomy around others. The big truth about life and everything in it is that we humans carry some form of energy with us, and it affects not only us but all the other people we come in contact with. Several teachers have called this phenomenon the “Law of Attraction”.  According to S. Maya Angelou aptly stated that “people won’t forget how you made them feel.” The emitting negative energy of bitterness, fear, doubt, coldness, and harshness, people naturally avoid you like a plague. People don’t like to associate with bitter people. Traditionally, people are attracted to free-spirited, peace-loving, energetic, and lively individuals.

  • Change The Tone Of Your Thoughts

It is very difficult to stop thinking about negative thoughts. It is easy to slide into pessimism or fear or doubt. The human mind is naturally wired to seek safety, shun risk and stick to the comfort zone. However, you can challenge your thoughts by controlling what you think about most often. When you are tempted to think about negative things, you can place a structure of self-defense and self-discipline. You can always reframe your thoughts from fear to hope. For instance, instead of saying “Life is difficult for me and I don’t think I will come out of my troubles”, you can rather say ” Although life is full of challenges I am capable of coming up with solutions to problems and I know I will adjust to these changes.” The painful truth about negative thinking is that it breeds negative energy which attracts the wrong kinds of circumstances to you. As the Dalai Lama says, “See the positive side, the potential, and make an effort.” Actively work to change the tone of your thoughts from negative to positive. Your thoughts help you to see circumstances differently.

Our thoughts are shaped by our surroundings and the people that surround us. Imagine having to hear news of deaths and illnesses daily. Our minds may be full of these things. Keep company with those who bring positive energy with them, and make sure you cultivate and protect those relationships. Also, spend time reading more life-transforming and soul-lifting materials.
