The Enugu auditions for the TV reality show Around Naija is ongoing at, Villa Toscana Hotel, Independence Layout. The two days
auditions which began on the 27th March at 10 am has so far seen a fair turnout of young people eager to participate in the show.
The reality TV show is basically a road trip scheduled to cover the 36 states of Nigeria and the FCT. It is designed to showcase the beauty inherent in the rich tradition and culture of the diverse Nigerian ethnic nationalities while highlighting and strengthening their unity.
The TV reality show will also beam the spotlight on the beautiful tourist locations, and the history of the various places and people as well as their economic activities, food, language, dance, music, history/story-telling and dressing of the various ethnic groups,
Succesful candidates selected at the auditions in the various centers in Abuja, Kaduna, Calabar, and Enugu will be competitively engaged, and the winner rewarded with a ten million naira (10,000,000) cash prize.
The Kaduna and Abuja auditions have already taken place and from Enugu will proceed to Calabar, Cross River state at Marina Resort, Moore road, on the 6th and 7th of at April, and Lagos on the 10th and 11th April at The Grand Suites, former CMD guest house, CMD road, Magodo/Shangisha, Lagos.
According to the organizers, the show is aimed at:
encouraging the participation of the Nigerian people in the economic activities of the various ethnic Nationalities
showcasing the Nigerian rich cultural diversities and heritage to the world.
showcasing the Nigerian tourist centres.
Providing for the TV viewing public an informative, educative and ultimately, an entertainment program ideal for families
Exposing the strength and unity of a people in their cultural diversities.
