Daniel Ademinokan’s new short film ‘Here’ which features multiple award-winning Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus, is set to feature in the Berlin International Film Festival next month.
The 13 minute film was officially released to the public on the 18th of January 2019 on Monafriktv.com. It tells a very touching story about April, who is rescued from being hit by a car when she crosses the road engrossed in the text message she is typing. Even though her life is spared by her fiance’s heroic intervention, she bears the consequence for the rest of her life.
Damasu
Stella Damascus was a screen goddess in Nigeria in her Nollywood days. She started her entertainment career as a singer and went on to star in over 70 Nollywood titles. She is currently married to multiple award-winning Nollywood film director and producer, Daniel Ademinokan, and has teamed up on several film projects in recent years, including ‘Between’ which premiered at the GlennFest Film Festival in 2018.
‘Here’ stars Stella Damasus alongside TJ Fink, Sly Augustus, and Robert Aloi. The team is written by Ruméh Ejoor and produced by the Damasus and Ademinokan. It has screened at 7 film festivals so far, including the Silver Lake Picture Show in Los Angeles, California, and is scheduled to show at the Berlin International Film Festival from the 7th to the 17th of February 2019.
