It was a random search for Pizza that landed us at De Choice Fast Food & Restaurant. My husband didn’t want to drive to Dominos Pizza at Olu Obasanjo Road. So, he took us there instead. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Every Day Supermarket located at No. 26 Elelenwo Street, G.R.A Phase 2, Port Harcourt. I’ve visited that branch of the supermarket several times earlier but I hadn’t been to the restaurant yet.

Parking was not an issue for us during this visit, but that’s probably due to the time of the day.  The Supermarket has a reasonably sized parking lot but they have a large customer base and this usually makes parking an issue most times. However, I observed that the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Its simple decor is typical of most fast-food restaurants. But I was particularly impressed with the space management. It’s not particularly large but the food counter, the chair placements and the play arena were arranged in a way that made the restaurant seem very spacious. There’s an entrance in the restaurant that leads directly into the supermarket.  My son was feeling sleepy when we arrived. However, within minutes, he spotted the play arena. As expected, it drew him in like a moth to the flame. There was no other kid in the place at the time but he had a great time running from one swing to the other. I loved the neatness of the play arena and the restaurant in general. Footwears are not allowed in the play arena so we removed ours before walking in.

We bought a medium-sized pizza. It cost about three thousand naira. While waiting for it to be prepared, I went into the supermarket to pick up some groceries. Did I forget to mention that the staff are well-groomed? Well, they are and it’s always a pleasure to interact with courteous staff. In conclusion, we had a good time at the De Choice Restaurant and I daresay that you would too. Featured image source: Facebook

  • If only they could stop putting garlic in their stew. I mused to enjoy their Nigerian cuisine and as a lover of ponmo I was shocked when after a while they started loading the stew with garlic. They need to stop it and keep garlic powder handy for those who love it.
