1. Nigerian conglomerate, Honeywell Group plans to invest 150 billion naira ($750 million) over the next 2-3 years to fund growth across its businesses in an effort to expand capacity and tap into the consumer base in Africa’s biggest economy. 2. The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Engr. Saleh Dunoma, has said that the authority will support any effort aimed at maximising the potentials in the country’s air cargo sector. 3. The European Union and the Federal Government of Nigeria have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote water projects in the Niger Delta region. 4. Cross River State government has disbursed over N1.7 billion to 247 communities across the state for the development of environmental and rural infrastructure. 5. Heartland F.C have signed 12 new players including Iniobong Joseph from Jeunesse Sportive d’Agonlio of Benin Republic ahead of the 2014/2015 NPFL season. 6. Former President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) Mr. Fatai Lawal has emerged the 2014 Inspenonline Insurance Man of the Year. 7. An American firm, Cantor Fitzgerald, plans to invest over $1 billion into the Nigerian  housing project in an effort to reduce its over 17 million housing deficit. 8. The Federal Government, vehicle manufacturers, auto dealers and licensed customs agents have agreed to ensure that ongoing implementation of the National Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP) is sustained in line with global best practices. 9. The Japanese government has pledged a grant aid of $8,290,000 to the Nigerian government in order to build capacity on counter terrorism and support the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the north eastern part of the country. 10. Mastercard has signed a deal with eTranzact International Plc, a leading pan-African mobile banking and payment services company, to make international remittance services available to millions of consumers in Nigeria.
