Peter Okoye, aka Mr P, of the defunct PSquare has been nominated by the International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARA) for Best Male Artist and Best International Male Artist award categories for IARA 2018.
The IARA nominations are the first-ever nominations the artist has gotten since he began his solo career after the breakup of the PSquare group last year.
He took to his Instagram page to thank his faithful fans for the nominations:

Also in the same category as Mr P are the “Man’s Not Hot” rapper, Micheal Dappah aka Big Shaq, Davido, George Ezra, Ihab Amir, Bread Boi, Louis Tomilson, and Sheku Kanneh-Mason for the Best Male Artist Category, and Diamond Platnumz, Davido, Cassper Nyovest, Medikal, Black Coffee, La Fouine and Mohammed Abass for the Best International Male Artist category.
Other Nigerians nominated for awards are Omotola Jalade for Best International Actress, based on her role in Alter Ego; Best Actor and Best Male Actor, John Boyega for Star Wars: The Last Jedi; Best Female Artist and Best Young Female Artist, Simi; Best Male Fashion Designer, Mai Atafo; Best Female Fashion Designer, Toyin Lawani; Best International Female Artist, Niniola; Best International Actor, Kenneth Okolie for The Royal Hibiscus Hotel; and Obioma Ugoala for Best Male Stage Performer.
The IARA award ceremony is scheduled for 22nd September at the Hilton Hotel in London.
