If you have not visited Oshodi for a long time, then you cannot envisage the gust of surprise that would probably blow your mind off. This is not about the traffic you would no longer experience but the rehabilitation of the roads in progress. The almost completion of the Oshodi Transport Interchange Project is a sight for the weary eyes, a delight for tired feet, emphasizing the impact of Lagos State government in the lives of its citizens. While there are various inconveniences during the course of the construction, the effects are easily controlled and the residents of Oshodi now only recollect in their minds the travail they face during their daily voyage. The Lagos State Government, one would recall, has stated its plan to redevelop Oshodi into a world-class Central Business District (CBD). This goal can be achieved even with the commencement and close to completion of the Oshodi Transport Interchange Project Site. The Project which would be a huge benefit to Lagosians would drive commerce and investment into the state. The terminal would accommodate shopping malls and three multi-floor bus terminals, recreational facilities, among many others. This would cause a total rebranding of Oshodi, and also ensure an organized transport system that will aid free flow of traffic along with catering to the parking and passenger demands.
