The powerful combo of basmati rice, ripe plantain, meat and vegetables makes Jambalaya rice a wholesome meal! Trust me, this dish of Spanish, French and Louisiana origin is worth every spoon. Importantly, it is not only a delight but also has very high nutritional value.
Basmati rice has 20 percent more fiber as compared to any other rice, contains vitamins and minerals, and is lower in saturated fats. It is diabetes-diet friendly, promotes heart health and good for dieting. It is also a great source of energy.
For the lovers of plantain, you can enjoy your rice with the tasteful crunch of the fried plantain, while the vegetables supply the necessary vitamins for the body.
