The theme of the conference is ‘Building a Regional Framework for Technology, Innovation and Collaboration’. This event is sponsored by the Ford Foundation.

The ISN South-East Regional meetup will provide an opportunity for the innovation ecosystem leaders of the region to come together to fashion ways of improving collaboration, discuss their shared challenges and come up with ways they can work with the various stakeholders in their communities to alleviate these problems not just in their states but as a region. The expected outcome of this event is that the regional hub leaders will start convening regularly to share information and strategies that can advance regional interests, while keeping all other stakeholders updated.

The expected number of attendees for this event is 100. This will include participants across government, academia, startups, corporate organisations and development agencies.

According to the Director of Marketing, ISN Hubs, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr. “CFA”,

the convergence of the Nigeria innovation community in Owerri will ensure that all the important stakeholders in the South East come together to fashion out ways of collectively deepening innovation for the benefit of the Nigerian economy’.

The new world order is driven by innovation and knowledge, so forward-looking countries have begun to invest massively in their future. ISN’s goal is to ensure that Nigeria as a country leverages the value already being created by her innovation community.
