Let’s begin here. Before you consider building trust in your customers, you need to have a product or service that is of top quality. What will they trust when your business is not worthy of it? Be sure that what you provide is the solution they desire. Is it working for them? Is it worthwhile? These things are what you must put into consideration.
In the process of rendering your service or selling your product, there will be a need for communication between yourself and your customers. They want to know that you care about their opinions and feelings.

Create a system where they can feel safe and free to share their ideas on what went right or wrong with your product. When they know they are able to vent whenever they need to and commend your business when you meet their expectations, they will be more likely to trust you. Go big on reviews. They can literally save your business. Big Commerce remarks that 88% of customers trust online reviews and make sales decisions based on them. What does this mean? You can leverage this. When your already existing customers patronize you, ask for their reviews.

Here, you can utilize the positive feedback from what we discussed in the previous point. Post it on your social media pages and across your marketing platforms. This builds some form of credibility for your business. Now, your potential customers can see that others have been using your product or service and that it has been working for them. This is definitely a great marketing strategy and a way to build the trust of your customers.
This is like the icing on the cake for these strategies. When your customers are actively involved in your business process, and they get the best product, it is great if you crown it with excellent customer service. How do you respond to customer complaints and queries? Businesses exclusively recruit for that role, as it requires someone that is patient enough to attend to your customers. Truth be told, some customers are naturally angry, but you should have someone standing in that gap to attend to their needs. You should also be prompt in responding to them.
The way you treat a customer will determine how much they will trust you. That is if they get to trust you at all. Remember that a satisfied customer is your real-time marketer, so treat them right, and you will be amazed at how much more you will gain from them.
