Last week, Paris, France, played host to actors, directors, filmmakers, journalists and other key players in the Nigerian movie industry at the Nollywood Week in Paris.
The 3
rd edition, which was 4 day event, from Thursday 3
rd May to Sunday 6
th May had a line-up of popular Nollywood faces, including Kunle Afolayan, Lala Akindoju, Tunde Kelani, OC Ukeje, and Iroko TV CEO Jason Njoku.
The film festival is an annual event which showcases the very best of the Nigerian film industry with the aim of finding a larger audience and more sustainable distribution system for these quality films, especially as the industry is constantly improving their craft. There were several sessions which included world Premieres for new films, Masterclasses, Pitching Sessions, events for established and upcoming actors and more.
Usually, comedies and dramas make up the most created and most loved films, however, horror, period pieces, musicals, romance and short films are also shown at the event. Below is the list of 16 films selected at this year’s edition.
