One of the few graduates in the history of Harvard Business and Law Schools, Adebayo Ogunlesi, has been appointed as a director to the board of Goldman Sachs – a US hedge funds group. This is coming at a time when the organization announced its profit for the third quarter of 2012 and forecasts for this fourth quarter are looking bright. Adebayo Ogunlesi is a private equity mogul and an investment banker. He is the chairman of Global Infrastructural Partners, an infrastructure investment company that secured the acquisition of London’s Gatwick Airport. Adebayo attended Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School at the same time, in a special program that students have to gain admission to both schools separately. Another alumnus of that program is the current Republican flag bearer in the 2012 Presidential election, Mitt Romney. Ogunlesi is the son of Nigeria’s first professor of medicine, and attended Kings College in Lagos. In a statement on his appointment by Lloyd Blankfein, the CEO of Goldman Sachs submits that, “Goldman Sachs’ shareholders will benefit from Adebayo’s wealth of knowledge and rigorous thinking. He has advised companies and institutions around the world and invested in many of the most important sectors in the global economy.”
