As part of its 20^th year celebration, Nigeria’s longest- running independent television talk show, ‘Inside Out with Agatha’, is set to host a conference themed ‘Nigeria Beyond Oil: The future’, a conversation on the need for the country to depend on alternative means of revenue generation, with Folorunsho Alakija, Vice Chairman of Famfa Oil as the special guest speaker. The event is set to hold on Friday, 4 August, 2017 at the Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos State. Hosted by Agatha Amata, the event seeks to highlight the need to engage the youth in the diversification of the economy as they pose to be the future of our country. “With my experience of 20 years in the media industry working closely with young people, having the opportunity to listen and analyse the thoughts of decision makers in the country, it is safe to assume that Nigeria still remains crippled under the country’s unwillingness to invest in the Nigerian youth and other sectors of the economy. The youths are unemployed, no development opportunity and agitations here and there! It has become imperative to discuss the socio-economic future of this country, and create an effective change to avoid imminent crisis, especially as it concerns the youth hence the need for this conference,” said Agatha Amata, CEO of Inside Out Media.
