In March, Fez Delivery secured a $1 million seed funding round led by Ventures Platform. In August, a Bendada.com report highlighted that rising fuel costs in Nigeria had driven up ride-hailing and delivery expenses, resulting in reduced customer usage. Seun Alley states, ‘Our company is rooted in building resilience during uncertain times, and our mission is to bring efficiency to the logistics industry through technology.’ The report also notes that logistics startups can introduce electric vehicles for deliveries as an alternative to counter price hikes. Nevertheless, a notable challenge in this transition remains the inconsistent power supply in the country, necessitating continued reliance on fuel-powered generators. Fez Delivery emphasizes the cost savings of FEZ ECO, along with its eco-friendly, zero-emission characteristics. These bikes offer improved manoeuvrability in congested urban traffic, leading to faster deliveries. They also provide smart tracking and monitoring of deliveries, contributing to enhanced transparency and security.
