Duncan Mighty is an artiste with hit songs like ‘Port Harcourt Son’ and ‘We Go Dey Dey’ featuring Wande Coal. His recent releases like ‘Wedding Song’ and ‘Madiba Mandela’ paves a path of thoughtful lyrics and lull but upbeat melody from his stables. His road to stardom was one with a lot of challenges, growing up on the streets of Port Harcourt and acquiring different experiences along the way. His kind of music is called native hip life. Connect Nigeria talked to Duncan Mighty recently. His songs are meant to bring growth to the lives of young people. His target is “to change distorted mindsets and give back the glory to the One who gave me this talent of mine.” Duncan-Mighty He has been in the Nigerian music industry for 18 years. He told us why his song ‘Wedding Song’ is the best Nigerian wedding song to be released, “It is the best because its lyrics bear lyrics of a man who truly loves his wife with all sincerity of heart with the blessings of marriage. Most especially, the song tells the couples celebrating that they are entitled to joy because they have both obtained favour from GOD” Duncan-Mighty g As an audio engineer and producer, he would be organizing a workshop for all aspiring producers, artiste, choirs, instrumentalists, and sound engineers. He believes through this workshop, he can enable them achieve music hits in every recording they do. On what more to expect from his music stable, Duncan Mighty will produce more singles and more albums that will sure give you the lift you need every day. There is a plan on ground to also tour the United States. His final words on becoming one of the best in the Nigerian music industry is this, “Professionals are not born but made. Although talent is important too; knowing what proportion of hard work and of talent is needed matters. “I have not done anything yet. Humility drives me on.” Duncan concludes.
