To truly learn design, I will recommend learning the basics of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. In the long run, You will need to scale your skills by learning graphic design, UI/UX, and even web design skills, etc.

Coding: Coding is a skill that many employers value, regardless of the specific position you hold. Learning basic coding skills makes it easier for students or recent graduates to join any startup as a beginner. They can start by helping a team launch an app, optimize a website for the search engines and even create or edit content. There are lots of online programs that make it easy for anyone to start learning code as well as more advanced options for coders who want to enhance their current skills.
