  The BankSome Group of companies is a collection of businesses offering a variety of services, principally in real estate, project management, facility management, renewable energy, and insurance brokerage. These companies subsist under the BankSome banner, an entity headquartered in Lagos, which also has a reach that spans much of the rest of Nigeria.

An emerging conglomerate, the BankSome Group has built an impressive roster of clients and partners, including many top corporate and public sector organizations within and beyond the country’s borders. Its offerings, ranging from the production of bricks and blocks to the delivery of international health insurance, are sought after by a growing number of businesses from multiple industries. The BankSome Group was founded in the early 2010s by Anthony Somefun, a businessman with extensive experience in investment finance and property acquisition and management. Prior to setting up BankSome, Anthony had built a successful financial advisory enterprise in the United Kingdom. His time as an employee of the firm’s Legal and General, and Royal SunAlliance apparently equipped him with the expertise that has enabled him to succeed at building his companies. BankSome Global Resources, which is one of the older subsidiaries of the BankSome Group, was established back in 2010. It is involved in Nigeria’s construction industry, with services that include construction and project management, the mechanized production of blocks and paving stones, and the provision and management of renewable energy resources.

In the time that it has been active, BankSome Global Resources has established a global presence, which has enabled it to provide services that are truly world-class. It has an office in Mayfair, London, and works with partners in China, Spain, Portugal, Germany, South Africa, and the UAE. According to the company’s team, it has completed projects worth over $600 million thus far and achieved a 99% project delivery rate. Another subsidiary of the group is BankSome Global Realtors, a firm that provides real estate financing, advisory, sales, and leasing services. It also offers mortgage placement services and manages the property, income collection, and leases on behalf of property owners. In addition to these, it takes on real estate planning and supervision plans project lifecycles and carries out building inspections for project budgeting purposes.

The insurance arm of the BankSome Group, BankSome Global Insurance Broker, evolved out of Anthony Somefun Limited, which was founded in the United Kingdom over a decade ago. It provides health, life, and general insurance, led by a team with a cumulative 25 years in the insurance brokerage industry. Its clients are currently drawn from the banking and petroleum industries, among others. BankSome Group has a facility management division as well. The services that it delivers range from security and housekeeping to the provision of plumbing and access control systems. Its team says that they have successfully managed more than 300 units of property across Nigeria on behalf of organizations in the banking, insurance, FMCG, and energy industries.
