We have basic natural ingredients right there in our kitchen we can prepare to achieve this.One of those natural ingredients is the ‘Tumeric’. Tumeric is also relative to the ginger family used in making curry for cooking. It has impressive qualities both in the raw form as well as the powdered form as it contains numerous antioxidants and antibacterial properties. The most important thing to know about using a natural product such as this is that you have to be consistent and use it on a regular basis to enjoy the desired outcome. Importance of Tumeric for Skin Therapy Cures acne: Tumeric helps heal acne and keeps it at bay. It is a great cure for pimples. Use turmeric powered form mixed with sandalwood paste. This would heal acne or apply the raw form with few drops of rose water, it will help lighten dark spots too. Helps reduce and controls oily skin: If you have the issue of oily skin or clogged pores then you’d love turmeric. It has a natural oil-controlling property which prevents skin from becoming too dry. To use, mix the powder with other ingredients as not to leave a yellow stain on your skin; a mixture made with sandalwood paste (that’s freshly prepared paste from pure sandalwood paste) and add a bit of orange juice. Use as a face mask and leave for ten minutes. Once it dries off, rinse with warm water. This will leave your skin soft and supple. Acts as an antibacterial agent: A recent study revealed that turmeric helps speed up the healing process. Turmeric paste is used to heal small cuts, burns and wounds in general, it helps also to keep bacterial infections away. Great as an anti-ageing treatment: Turmeric helps with maintaining a healthy glow for ageing skin. It contains potent antioxidants known to protect against environmental stressors. Indian brides use the haldi paste or powder before a wedding ceremony as part of the beauty procedure to cleanse their bodies. It provides a healthy glow by brightening and lightening skin tone. Mix haldi powder or paste with equal amounts of besan and raw milk works great as an exfoliator and makes your skin glow. Use before bathing and apply over the face and wait till it dries. Great for sensitive skin: It works in a soothing and gentle way for the skin. It is sensitive and delicate to skin too while also being rich in mineral, antioxidant that provides nourishment for sensitive skin which deserves all the love it can get. Helps treat skin conditions: turmeric has shown to be quite effective in calming symptoms of eczema, dry skin, wrinkles, psoriasis, dark circles under the eyes and other skin diseases. Due to high antioxidants which it contains, it reduces skin inflammation and also helps reduce pigmentation that evens out skin tone.
