Established in 2016, Hubs.ng was created to provide small businesses and owners with the chance to use online space efficiently.
The four services on this platform are Amplify, which is meant for publishing; Hub Sites which provides domain names for businesses; Biz Direct, for listing; and Market Square, for selling.

Not long after its creation, Hubs.ng began setting up a digital network that offers similar services as their offline platforms. This was prompted by a newfound desire to a digital sphere where users can access all services across platforms with a uniform synchronized identity. To this end, Hubs.ng has revoked the pricing scheme of its services and created a free digital ecosystem designed to plug the existing gaps in the local digital space.
After building a digital ecosystem, Hubs.ng set its focus on advertising through various avenues including e-commerce, e-learning, health, transportation, productivity, multimedia, real estate, and entertainment. The company grew in popularity through Hubs Music, its music platform. This has been followed by other service bundles including Amplify, Biz Direct and Market Square.
Two years after its founding, Hubs.ng launched Emily, it’s Artificial Intelligence assistant. Emily was designed to function as a virtual guide to users of the company’s network of services, providing explanations about how they can be used. Requests and submission of reviews are also handled by Emily.
Emily has made it gain recognition from organizations such as Moguldom who cited it in its article about Artificial Intelligence on the African continent and IBM who requested its collaboration with their Artificial Intelligence outfit on a machine learning exercise.

Hubs.ng was joint winner of the 6th Digital Africa face-off along with FarmCap a Ghanaian company in 2018. This afforded them the privilege of giving a presentation at the inauguration of the Digital Africa Conference in the following year. The event had in attendance many distinguished guests including Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, Nigeria’s Honorable Minister of Communication and Digital Economy.
Over time, Hubs.ng has improved on their single user account. In February 2020, they added the no-password account to their existing features. The no-password attribute allows visitors to register and log in with their cell phone number after which they get sent a one-time password that lets them gain entry to any of its service platforms.
Hubs.ng has continued to experience growth and they are making an impact in Nigeria’s digital space by transforming how people use tech tools and services daily. Looking to the future, it is their vision to attract more users to their platforms and increase the range of services they offer.
In recognition of their innovative and transformative work, Hubs.ng has been the recipient of various forms of acknowledgments. It is also for this purpose that they have been named one of Connect Nigeria’s Top 100 SMEs.
