  1. Obudu Mountain Resort – This spot is a hot cake this season. With so many visitors using tour deals to visit the resort, the cable car will be functional. The weather is always a pleasant surprise and tour activities like swimming and hiking are a blast. Add that to the water park experience down the snake road and you’ve got yourself a unique Christmas experience.
  2. Abraka Resort – okay, choosing one spot in Abraka is hard. River Ethiope flowing through this town has resulted in lots of resorts along its coastline for tourists. If you have big bucks, you can go to Abraka Turf and Country club. But if you are on a budget, then you might consider McCarthy beach or Gordon beach resort. The Warri–Itakpe train ride through Abraka will add an extra spice to your experience.
  3. Omu Resort – The beauty of Omu is there is something for everyone. From the mini waterpark for kids to an amusement park, archery, and other adventure games to the wax museum. It is an ideal location to hang out this Christmas season.
  4. Park Vega Water Park – The dry season is the perfect time to frolic in a water park. Hot sun, cool waters, lots of slides, and a water bar for a drink. With a variety of water activities to be had there, a trip to Park Vega is a dream come true.

  1. Yankari Game Reserve – This location is perfect for the holidays because it is secluded from the main town. You get to wake up to animals in their habitat all around you, and natural warm springs like Wikki with its crystal clear waters. You can even go for a safari ride to their watering hole, where all the animals will gather this dry season. It is a vacation for a lifetime.
  2. Jos Wildlife Park – The Park features various attractions like a superb restaurant, picnic pine forest, video viewing center, etc. It always pulls in a crowd in the festive season. So, beyond viewing the animals, there are a lot of other interactions to experience here.

Here you can have a picnic and experience a real rainforest safari. You can even interface with rare breeds of animals in their habitat. The park is rarely gets crowded so you can have an exclusive vacay time here. It’s too bad some places are closed off this season because of insecurity like Kajuru Castle in Kaduna and Oguta Lake resort in Owerri.
