- According to the World Resources Institute, Nigeria is home to 4,715 different plant species, and over 550 species of breeding birds and mammals, making it one of the most ecologically vibrant places on the planet.
- Nigeria is one of the most diverse countries in the world in terms of indigenous languages spoken regularly. It is the third most multilingual country on the planet. Experts estimate that over 500 different languages are spoken among no less than 250 ethnic groups. - Calabar Carnival, also known as “Africa’s Biggest Street Party”, is a festival in Nigeria that is celebrated annually in December. It is a month-long celebration that includes concerts, parades, fashion shows, beauty pageants and other activities and features international artists.
- Nigeria is home to an array of fruits and vegetables because it is in the tropical zone of the world. Some of its local fruits are extremely hard to find outside of Nigeria and even in Africa.

- Nigeria Owns the Second-Longest Bridge, the longest canopy walkway in Africa. The Third Mainland Bridge, in Lagos, is one of the longest bridges in the world. Its total length is 7.3 miles (11.8km). The bridge is one of the three bridges that connect Lagos Island with the mainland. Also, in Lagos, Lekki Conservation Centre, to be exact, lies the longest canopy walkway in Africa.
- Nigeria has a lot of fascinating tourists’ sites like Lekki Conservation Centre, and Tarkwa Bay Beach, Lagos State. There are also places like Olumo Rock in Ogun state, Ikogosi Warm Springs in Ekiti State, Yankari National Park in Bauchi State, Jabi Lake and Aso rock in Abuja (FCT), and Kajuru Castle in Kaduna. Northern Nigeria has lovely monoliths, desert plains and wetlands, while southern Nigeria has beaches, rain forests and interesting mountain ranges. You can find waterfalls all over the country.

- Abuja is one of the fastest-growing metropolitan cities in the world and one of the largest cities in Nigeria. Lagos, however, is the largest Nigerian city with a population of over 21 million people, making it the 7th most populated city in the world.
- The highest point is Chappal Waddi at 7936 ft (2,419 meters above the sea). Also, the only suspended Lake in Africa is in Nigeria, Ado Awaye. We derived the name of the country Nigeria from River Niger, which is the longest river in West Africa.
