Fela Durotoye, 2019 presidential aspirant under the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) flag, is seeking to foster women’s participation in Nigerian politics. ANN has created a platform where young women are invited to participate in building a new Nigeria.
“Nigeria has the lowest female representation in elective positions in West Africa. Women had a 6.1% representation in State Houses of Assembly, 3.9% in the House of Representatives, 7.34% in the Senate and almost 0% in the Executive arm of government.” — Oduah
Durotoye will be hosting a town hall meeting in Lekki on Tuesday, 10th July for young business women. INEC officials will be present to register those who are yet to get their permanent voter’s cards. This event will serve as a great opportunity to meet and network with like-minded women. Attendance is FREE. Refreshments will be provided.
