Quick question: What’s the last life-changing book you’ve read? The Greatest Salesman In The World by Og Mandino is undeniably a life changer, but don’t see it as one of those you skim through quickly just to get their main gist. It’s too rich and complex for that kind of treatment. In fact, the author recommends reading Chapter 8 three times a day for three months before moving on to the other chapters. A book as flat as your two palms combined! (It’s that serious). And I’m not sure which is more inspiring, the book itself or the author’s life (more on that below), but either one is sure to give success principles that can be applied for maximum results. Without giving too much away, The Greatest Salesman In The World narrates the fictional adventures of a young camel boy named Hafid on his path to becoming a successful salesman to win over the girl he’s head over heels in love with. He is passed on ten profound legendary scrolls by his mentor which he must digest daily to become what he has envisioned and more. Scroll I – The Power of Good Habits Scroll II – Greet Each Day With Love In Your Heart Scroll III – I Will Persist Until I Succeed Scroll IV – I am Nature’s Greatest Miracle Scroll V – Live Each Day as if it Were Your Last Scroll VI – Master Your Emotions Scroll VII – The Power of Laughter Scroll VIII – Multiply Your Value Every Day Scroll IX – All is Worthless Without Action Scroll X – Pray to God for Guidance   Let me fight the urge to go on and on at this juncture. I will say though that American actor, Matthew McConaughey once publicly declared that this book changed his life dramatically. And that the author, Og Mandino was a former alcoholic who contemplated suicide early on, but became a best-selling author – with over 50 million copies sold – thanks to the wisdom shared in this book. How touching is it that a giver of hope was once a hopeless cause? God truly works in mysterious ways, and using Og – and you perhaps – to bless lives is definitely one of them. And with that, I bid you a good day and happy reading!
