Fejiro founded Patricia sometime in 2017. Prior to launching the platform, he had launched several other business ventures. He had established a mini-restaurant, an airtime vending machine, and a pop-corn stand during his stay in the university.
In an interview, Fejiro described himself as a relentless individual, a goal-getter, and a hard worker.
“I have been an entrepreneur since I was 8, it came naturally to me. I am probably one of the most optimistic people you’ll ever meet…” he said.
According to the serial entrepreneur, he first started Patricia as a side hustle to earn extra cash. He gained inspiration for the company after he lost an iTunes giftcard to a scam. This led to a realisation that there were others like him who couldn’t find reliable gift card exchange platforms. He grabbed this business opportunity and Patricia was born.

Although Patricia originally started as just a gift card exchange service, the company has grown to become a provider of other emerging digital currencies like bitcoin and perfect money.
