When businesses are in search of service providers to work on their projects, they mostly have to worry about the reliability of these individuals and how efficient they at their jobs. Findworka is an online marketplace where quality service providers and potential clients connect under favourable conditions. The platform ensures that clients get access to services that have been thoroughly vetted and accessed by the community. Service providers, on the other hand, are guaranteed access to clients that are willing to pay in real time for their services. Findworka was founded by serial entrepreneur and software engineer, Dele Bakare in 2016. According to him, his inspiration to establish Findworka came after his own experience in finding it difficult to find artisans for hire.
From Artisanry To Solely Digital Services
When Findworka first began operations, it opened its doors to both freelancers and artisans in Nigeria. This indeed proved to be an eye-opener for the team as they later realised going the “artisan” route was disadvantageous in the long run due to the stress it entailed. By January 2017, they had ditched the artisan approach and decided to focus solely on digital services. The Findworka platform was now structured to engage designers, front end developers, testers, researchers, and many more. This paid off substantially as many Nigerians began sending in requests for their projects and soon Findworka was growing by leaps and bounds.
In July 2017, “Findworka Premium” was introduced to the platform in response to the demands for project management services and programming talents by enterprise clients. With Findworka Premium, clients have access to stellar consultation services, project management, and skilled engineers.
Achievements
As a testament of the quality services Findworka provides, several popular startups have worked with them including the likes of Hotels.ng, Budgit, Traclist, Prepclass and many more. On Findworka, there are over 1000 competent individuals with different skills including Web Development, Content Development, Graphic Designing, Video Editing, Digital Marketing and many more. In 2018 the platform hosted the maiden edition of their Saucecode hackaton at the Co-Creation hub and subsequently, they were accepted into the Co-Creation Hub’s incubation programme.
With more freelance platforms like Findworka taking the place of foreign ones, the efficiency of various enterprises and individuals across the country is guaranteed to be maximised.
