Unity Bank plc has introduced an account tailored to meet the needs of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The Unity Biz account targets businesses in retail, social services, education professional services, contracting, manufacturing, and agro-business sectors. The bank says that this product adds value to such enterprises by empowering them with the tools they need to thrive.

Interesting offerings from the bank under the Unity Biz current account package includes a business debit card; a maximum of five Verve cards can be provided to SMEs, and each card can be programmed for different sets of transactions, as the holder of the account desires. Free financial advisory services and quarterly counseling and networking sessions are also available to subscribers to Unity Bank’s Unity Biz scheme. The bank promises that businesses “will have access to the assets and liability sides of the product at concessionary rates, which benchmark the best pricing offered in the industry”.

Unity Bank says it expects that agro-allied and packaging companies would find its new account useful to their operations; businesses engaged in the manufacturing, retail, and wholesale segments of the market could benefit from it.
