Nollywood star actress, Uche Jombo, collaborates with Ini Edo on the production of a new film Heaven on my Mind.
Pre-production of the movie, which is Jumbo’s first film as a director, and first ever collaboration by the two actresses as co-producers, is said to have commenced in 2017. Jumbo said directing for the first time in Heaven on my Mind was a landmark achievement for her, describing it as a “huge mark” in her books. She went on to appreciate everyone who believed in her ability to deliver on the project.
The new film boasts of an impressive cast, including Mercy Aigbe, Ray Emordi, Andrea Chika Chukwu, Femi Adebayo, Adunni Ade, Eric Ogbonna and Yvonne Nwosu.
Jumbo, a University of Calabar graduate of Mathematics & Statistics with a degree in Computer Programming, went into acting in 1999 on the set of Visa From Hell and has since then featured in several movies as scriptwriter and actor with several films to her credit including Lies Men Tell, Wives on strike, Damage, Banana Island Ghost, Mrs Somebody and That Which Binds Us.
She is also the recipient of several high profile awards including AFRICA International Film Festival 2013 Best Actress in Leading Role, and 2015 Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards Female Viewers Choice winner. She is currently a Glo ambassador.
The new movie is expected in cinemas from December 7, 2018 under Uche Jombo Studios and Minini Empire Production, companies belonging to Uche Jumbo and Ini Edo respectively.
