One name that keeps popping in the world of ping-pong game is Aruna Quadri.  Do you remember him? He competed for Nigeria in the summer Olympics games of 2012 and 2016 respectively. He has qualified for 2017 edition of International Table Tennis Federation World Cup in France. After he defeated Egypt defending champion, Omar Assar, even as his female counterparts Funmi Oshinaike lost to Egypt’s Dina Meshre. As the continent’s representative in the World cup, he leads a team of players billed for Nigerian Open Challenge World Tour. The Oyo state ping-pong super star is a force to be reckoned with at the global level. He was the First African to be ranked among the Top 25 players in the world. The country intends to give its full support in assisting his campaign in France,  Youth and Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung vowed the Federal Government’s Support.  It is his ‘CAN DO’ spirit that attracts all and sundry in cheering him into victory. Aruna is awarded by the Nigeria Sports Awards (NSA) for winning IITF African Cup. Also, he is awarded for qualifying for International Table Tennis Federation World Cup. A man decreed to be a testimony to all the Awards Team represents. He is married to a table tennis star Ganiyat Aruna, a National Team star player in Table tennis.
