As you would expect, they do not all offer the same quality of service. Some have built impressive structures and charge a premium for their work. Others are barely known and battle to be heard, let alone sought after.

This article examines the more recognizable names on the Nigerian real estate scene. Some of these companies have built trust over several decades. Others have a much shorter history but are making a mark nonetheless. Here are the top 10 real estate firms in Nigeria, presented in no particular order.

Landmark Africa

Founded in 1997, Landmark has grown to become a major player in the corporate real estate space in Lagos and Nigeria in general. Its website says the company holds a cumulative 130,000 sqm of real estate, one of the biggest in the country. It is present in East, North, and South Africa as well. Landmark is also involved in residential and leisure property businesses. Its event centres are among the most frequently used in Lagos’s commercial and high-brow districts. It leverages its extensive coverage of Nigeria and Africa in its research and consultancy divisions, which serve some of the continent’s biggest corporations.

Adron Homes

It’s also present in Abuja and Nasarawa, locations presently witnessing a property boom. In Lagos, it’s in charge of the Emirates Park and Gardens, Rehoboth Park and Gardens, and the Eko City tower. One of Nigeria’s oldest real estate and civil engineering firms, Cappa and D’Alberto was established in 1932 by two Italian migrants. In the 90 years since its founding, the company has become a reliable partner for both private and public sector clients. It helped to build many iconic buildings in Lagos, including the Civic Towers, Union Marble Building, and Mobil House. Historically it participated in the construction of the National Stadium in Surulere, and the Cocoa House in Ibadan.

Cadwell Limited

  For more than two decades, Cadwell has built luxury homes and high-end commercial property in Lagos, especially in the Victoria Island and Ikoyi districts. They are involved in facility maintenance, a service that’s also designed for clients in the top scale of corporate Nigeria, or affluent private citizens. The company is headquartered in Victoria Island.

Jide Taiwo & Co.

This firm’s services include property surveys and valuation, mortgage insurance, compensation, and facility management—all important aspects of the landed property business.

This forty-year-old firm is also engaged in the purchase and sale of properties on its clients’ behalf. Its other activities are renting and leasing, project development, and property management. It undertakes title registration and land use planning too.

Kings Court Realtors

Real Estate Company in Nigeria | Estate Surveyors and Valuers Kings Court Realtors develops, sells, and leases real estate in Lagos. Its property sales and leasing operations cover the Lagos Island, Ajah, Lekki, and Victoria Island areas of the state. It is also active in Abuja and Port Harcourt. Advisory, finance for real estate purchase, and managed sales are also on offer from Kings Court. The firm is a ‘sister company’ to Emeka Okoronkwo and Associates, a real estate surveyor and valuer.

Primrose Development Company (PDC)

Over a period spanning three decades, it has expanded its real estate business, is now recognized as one of Nigeria’s leading firms in this industry. This spawned a larger, stronger firm, and it has benefited from its broadened scope ever since. Its major property projects are located in Victoria Island and Ikoyi.

Cortts Limited

Their client base is both local and international; a large segment of the latter are Nigerians in the diaspora. Its top projects are in the Lekki and Banana Island areas of Lagos. Cortts helps its clients with other aspects of the property development and sales process. From feasibility studies and market reports to portfolio management and leases, it covers the challenging turf that is Nigerian real estate with expertise and grace.

Primewaterview (PWV)

  • What about Revolution Plus property. It’s not listed here and I know them as a reputable property firm.
