Tiwa Savage has become the first female Nigerian artiste to host a sold-out show in the UK. You will recall that Wizkid also created a record at the same venue. The show, tagged The Savage Tour, which featured a dazzling performance by the celebrated artiste, was her very first concert in the United Kingdom, and tickets sold out before its commencement at the Indigo, O2 Arena over the weekend.

A good time

The show also had performances by some of Mavin Records’ best acts: Reekado Banks, D’ija, Dr Sid and, of course, Don Jazzy. Oother artists who thrilled the audience were iconic Congolese musician, Awilo Longomba, Mystro, and the Alternate Sound Band. The concert is a big break for the Mavin first lady, especially as fans look forward to her third album before the end of the year. Tiwa hinted that the new album will feature Wizkid, Roc Nation and Stefflon Don:
”I think I’m going to drop my third album this year. I dropped an EP ‘Sugar Cane’ last year and I think it’s time for another album. And I have a lot of songs and material that I don’t want to go to waste. So, I think I’m going to drop an album this year. I am trying not to put too many featured artists on it because I did with my last album. I want to try and keep it just me and be more daring music wise, be more bold.” — Savage
