  On our “Tip of the Day” segment, today is spring roll sheets. They are easy to make. They are healthier as they are prepared with no chemical preservatives. Even if your first homemade spring roll sheets are too light,  you can double them and use them as desired.

The ingredients listed below will make about 25 spring roll sheets.

Ingredients

300g of All-Purpose Flour 2 Tablespoons of Corn Starch 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt 150ml Water

How To Prepare

Mix the dry ingredients together. Add water bit by bit while mixing; be careful at this point because you need a thick batter, not a watery one. Once a stretchy dough is achieved,  start kneading. You do this by lifting the batter and slamming it back in the bowl. Repeat this process till the batter is really stretchy. Then cover the bowl containing the batter and place it in the refrigerator for about two to three hours. When the allotted time is up,  the batter will be a bit solid but stretchy. Place a non-stick pan on medium heat. When it heats up,  reduce it to low heat. Now, scoop some batter into your palm. Make a thin circular smear with the batter in your palm. Let the batter heat up and as soon as its sides begin to pop up, scoop it into a clean plate and cover it with a damp towel. Now repeat the process until the remaining batter is finished. You’ll notice that as the batter is used up,  the spring roll sheets that it will make will be small. Your spring roll sheets are ready.
