Renowned interior designer, Ezinne Kufre-Ekanem has thrown her weight behind the choice of Masala as colour of the year as adjudged by Pantone, a US based company with special interest in colours. Ezinne, CEO of Rosemary’s – an interior design and soft furnishing company in the highbrow area of Lekki, Lagos described the colour as impactful, rich and elegant. According to her, Masala’s versatility will no doubt endear it to the minds of everyone, ‘It is a very cheerful colour and the good thing about it is the way it lends itself to various interpretations and applications, which makes it more versatile.’ She further confirmed her company’s readiness to help clients enjoy the colour, ‘It has become a norm at Rosemary’s to follow the outlook and trends in the world of interiors and share our finds with our clients. Masala is the new trend and we can’t wait to help people explore the colour in cool amazing ways.’ Masala, an earthy red wine colour started making its appearance on runways and fashion look books since late 2014 and has since found its way into homes in small furnishing pieces like rugs, throw pillows and paintings.
