The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has announced a scholarship for persons who want to begin a career in blockchain technology, and would like to acquire the skills they would need to do so. If you apply for this program, you could be one of 30,000 people across Nigeria selected to undergo training in blockchain technologies.
According to KashifuInuwa, the Director General of NITDA, the training is aimed at accelerating blockchain adoption in Nigeria, and could enable the country to become “a global player in the blockchain industry”.
NITDA says that the program will take place in all 36 states of the federation, and will have 30,000 persons enrolled in it. They are expected to acquire skills with which they can build real life blockchain solutions, and play a role in the unfolding fourth industrial revolution.
