  Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU), an affiliate of ExxonMobil Corporation, is organizing an Apprentice Training Program (ATP) for qualified Nigerians. Through the program, it will train apprentices and equip them with the skills they need to start off successful technical roles in the oil and gas industry.

Since 1995, MPNU has organized this program to help young Nigerians on the path to careers in the petroleum industry. The goal for the latest edition of the program will be no different. It will take place at the MPNU Technical Training Center in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, and run for 23 months. Persons selected to take part in it will learn in classrooms and on the job.

This program offers the following benefits to trainees:
  • Learn skills that will prepare them for success in their chosen careers
  • Engage experienced professionals in their preferred disciplines
  • Receive an MPNU Certificate of Completion in their field of study (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Process Operations)
  • Bolster their credentials and shore up their CVs

Eligibility

This program is open to persons who meet the following criteria:
  • Should have a government-issued ID (National ID, Voters’ Card, International Passport, Driver’s License)
  • Have a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Petroleum Engineering Technology
  • Graduated with at least a Lower Credit and no earlier than 2019
  • Note: Candidates with a higher qualification than what is listed above will not be considered.
