  The Bank of Industry (BOI), in collaboration with the Lagos Business School (LBS), is organizing an Innovation Business Accelerator for SMEs. This program runs with the aim of improving SME success rates, boosting their ability to create jobs, reducing loan default rates, and equipping entrepreneurs with the technical, managerial, financial, and leadership skills they need to excel.

This program’s target audience is for-profit entrepreneurs, including university and polytechnic graduates, NYSC members, and prospective BOI customers who have at least an SSCE certificate. Through this initiative, they will gain the capacity to solve some of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges via enterprise.

Benefits

Persons selected to take part in the BOI-LBS Business Innovation Accelerator program will benefit from it in the following ways:
  • Gain a range of skills (including technical and managerial) to help them build their business successfully
  • Learn to properly manage their finances and set their business on the path to greater profitability
  • Become leaders who can steer their teams to greater productivity
  • Improve their ability to innovate and develop creative ways to solve the problems their business confronts
  • Boost their job creation capacities

Eligibility

This program is open to persons who meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a citizen or legal resident of Nigeria
  • Should have at least an SSCE certificate
  • Must have entrepreneurial experience, and be leading a business that’s scalable and solves real problems
  • Should be able to adhere to the training schedule
  • Must present two letters of recommendation
  • Note: Women and young people are especially encouraged to apply.
