  The Impact West Africa Fellowship program is designed to empower changemakers from the region with the necessary skills and support to address common challenges impacting nearly half a billion people across 17 countries in the region. Each Impact Fellow will embark on an intensive 12-month journey aimed at advancing their individual advocacy goals.

Throughout this West Africa Fellowship program, Fellows will continue their professional commitments while benefiting from tailored mentorship, participating in two immersive convenings, and engaging in quarterly online training sessions between convenings.

Benefits

Successful applicants of the West Africa Fellowship program will have all travel-related costs covered for the two in-person convenings, including airfare, local transportation, lodging, and meals, courtesy of the fellowship.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Demonstrate a passionate commitment to advocacy that addresses key issues affecting the West African region.
  • Possess a strong track record of implementing bold, innovative ideas that contribute to enhancing the lives of individuals within their communities.

  • Articulate a clear vision of how their initiatives will bring about impactful and transformative change.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accomplishments in business or entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and/or public/government service.
  • Express a keen interest in enhancing communication skills to advocate for change through storytelling, public speaking engagements, and written communication.
  • Commit to utilizing the skills acquired through the fellowship to strengthen their organization and the movements they serve.
  • Show evidence of a commitment to coalition building or possess strong collaborative skills.
  • Obtain organizational support, demonstrated through a letter, to fully engage in the fellowship experience.
