Wizkid and The Clothing Industry

The Afro-pop musician has recently had a regular romance with the fashion industry (see links to articles below). He was selected to model Nike’s new Super Eagles Russia 2018 Jerseys, and the singer caused quite a stir in June when he appeared on the runway of the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2019 (SS19) Menswear show in Milan, Italy, modelling a heavily embellished ensemble, alongside British supermodel Naomi Campbell and musician Tinie Tempah. Next was the news of the launch of his Starboy clothing merchandise, a collection of t-shirts, bomber jackets hoodies, bandanas, and other memorabilia which launched in New York. Wizkid is a celebrated Afro-pop artiste from Nigeria with investments in fashion and multiple endorsements including a multi-million naira deal with global soft drink brand, Pepsi. He was ranked fifth on Forbes and Channel O’s Top 10 Richest/Bankable African Artists In 2013.
