Somi’s The Gratitude Tour, in Lagos

Eko Hotel & Suites, GidiUP Studios and Quirk invite you to the marquee engagement of Somi’s Gratitude Tour on Friday, March 15th at The Sky Lounge & Restaurant on the penthouse floor of Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.  Tickets are N25,000 and include a cocktail reception sponsored by Hennessy, an exclusive 5-course meal by Executive Chef Lalu, a full-length jazz concert by Somi and her international band, and a champagne toast by Moët & Chandon. Somi recently finished recording her new album in New York City alongside famed Nigerian producer Cobhams Asuquo and acclaimed American composer Keith Witty.  The album, to be released internationally in the summer 2013, is entirely inspired by Somi’s 15-month creative sabbatical immersed in the fiery spirit of Lagos, Nigeria.  She and her international band will return from New York next week for what she calls “The Gratitude Tour” a series of performances in and outside of Lagos to say thank you to the very people who have given her deep inspiration, perspective, and friendship.
