Parents have legitimate concerns about the safety of their children when they’re at school or at some point between school and home- because not everyone who they come into contact with might mean well for them. Placing them in the care of a trusted guardian isn’t a guarantee that they won’t get in harm’s way. Reports of nannies aiding and abetting the abduction of children they were supposed to be caring for are, sadly, not uncommon in these parts.

School Angel has introduced an app to help deal with the uncertainty that comes with children being away from the watchful eyes of parents, especially when they’re at school. The School Angel mobile app extends the ability of parents and guardians to monitor their wards’ movement to school, in school activity and departure. This is possible because the School Angel solution isn’t just about an app; it’s a whole integrated system which incorporates student safety assurance, behavioral management, an app, and school bus tracking.

School Angel allows parents to keep tabs on their children’s whereabouts via a biometric/PIN-based system. Schools facilitate the system by installing School Angel’s identity authentication terminal which recognizes students and their collectors when they report to it through the biometric/PIN system. Notification on the arrival and departure of students in school and at home is sent to parents via the app. There’s also provision for detailed tracking of bus route detours, delays and unauthorized movements, as well as school attendance and student behavior.

  • Good improvement but the school should try to make a hard copy of the results available to parents for them that may not have time for the net, thanks
