Looking for a place to take a family with selective food cravings? Then think Magrellos. The beautiful thing about Magrellos is their wide menu. Where else can you get yam pottage plain, or with veggies in it? Beans in oil or boiled beans and rice? When you get to their show glass you just get confused; White rice, Chinese rice, fried rice, jollof rice, plain rice and beans, spaghetti, fried plantains, boiled plantains, moi-moi, three varieties of yam pottage, unripe plantain pottage, swallows and soups, fish, meat, chicken…  a meal-lover’s heaven. They serve African dishes, continental, Chinese, shawarma, etc. And they are also into outdoor catering and event planning. I had boiled plantains with fish sauce. The plantains were semi-ripe and firm but sweet. The fish tasted like titus, and the veggies were fresh and crunchy, the combo set off sparks in my brain as I relished the meal. They have a small play area for the kids so if you bring those spirited tots with you- they can work off excess energy while you place your order. They also make lovely cakes for special occasions, and fresh bread. Oh, and popcorn too! And there are pastries like meat pies, burgers, sausages, like I said; food heaven.
