“The team know we are privileged to be representing Nigeria and we carry the hope of over 200 million Nigerians. When you are there, you have to do everything possible to get result.”

Eguavoen who played as a defender during his professional playing career called on Nigerians for support as the three-time African champions seek to make the nation proud.
“We all know that Nigerians are passionate about football and will always support and pray for the Super Eagles even when things are going tough. We need their moral and total support to help us get over the line,’’
Eguavoen said.
“We know it’s a crucial game and we’ll do everything possible to get over the line and get the world cup ticket. The boys are ready to go and from their two training sessions so far, you see they are sharp and want to do the talking on the pitch, not on press conference alone. On that day, the boys will play and I think you will be very, very impressed.”
