Professor William F. Onifade is a lecturer of Computer Science at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is recognised as an authority in his academic niche and has an impressive track record as a scholar and researcher.
Mr Onifade graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in 1998. He went on to the University of Ibadan, where he earned an M.Sc and a PhD, also in Computer Science. He also holds a PhD in Information and Communication Science from LORIA in Nancy, France.
The academic work of Professor Onifade covers such fields as Intelligent Systems, Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, Database Management and Retrieval tools, High-Speed Networking and Wireless Protocol Design.
He has been a Short-Term Visiting Scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2012) as well as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India (2014).
Professor Onifade will be one of the speakers at this year’s ICTEL Expo organised by the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The annual event brings together experts and stakeholders in Nigeria’s ICT Sector and creates a networking space for players in the business of ICT.
The LCCI’s ICTEL Expo will take place on the 26th to 28th of July, 2016, at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
