Prepared for Take-off: Dana Air Announces Readiness for Rectification

Dana Air is ready to go through another round of rectification by the aviation regulatory agencies in Nigeria, a statement by the airline has announced. Dana Air stated that it has addressed the issues raised by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in the course of its audit and is ready for a new round of rectification. Mr. Yvan Drewinsky, Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager, Dana Air, said the airline is satisfied with the recent audit. He continued, “We are satisfied with the process and the lifting of the suspension order is a testament that Dana Air adheres strictly to prescribed safety standards. The NCAA raised a few issues during the process and we have since closed all the items that were opened during the audit. Dana Air is now engaged in the training of its employees with its workers and crew members undergoing training in South Africa. Concerning the state of its aircrafts, Drewinsky said the airline was already in the market to acquire another Boeing 737, adding that one would arrive in the country this week, while another would be delivered in the next month. He concluded, “We are glad that we have shown compliance to safety as an airline and we look forward to serving this market because we know there is a fantastic opportunity to be the best here.” Dana Air would immediately commence flying on the Lagos-Abuja route with other routes added to it in the following weeks.
