Kenyan-based web and mobile payment platform, PesaPal has launched in Malawi to enable users pay for goods and services online via credit cards and mobile money services like M-PESA and is already planning its expansion to Ghana, Nigeria and Zambia. Founded in May 2010, the pan-African service which allows users to make bills payment, buy airtime, tickets and shop online, is available in Botswana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. PesaPal founder and CEO, Agosta Liko, in a recent Twitter update wrote that PesaPal now covers a population of 170 million and is on hand to reach 400 million people in Africa soon.
